Lomond View Cottage is a charming semi-detached cottage in an idyllic and peaceful location just off a quiet forest road in the heart of The Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park on the outskirts of Aberfoyle. The property provides accommodation for up to 4 people and has a secure and private back garden making it an ideal holiday home for children and pets.

Lomond View is a comfortable, well equipped home with views overlooking Ben Lomond to the north and open fields and forestry to the south. Surrounded by nature and 500km of tracks and paths, it is the perfect retreat for those looking to unwind and relax or perhaps to use as a base for an activity filled adventure. There is something for everybody and your four legged friends to do in the surrounding area, from gentle strolls in the woods to serious hill climbing and munro bagging and for cyclists, safe easy family friendly routes to extreme single track for the more serious mountain biker. A wide selection of maps, information on walks, cycle routes and nearby activities is available for you to read through to help plan your excursions for your holiday.

There are 2 bedrooms available, one double and one twin. The spacious “A” framed double room is located on the first floor and has views over Ben Lomond and a cosy sitting area perfect to sit and read, watch some TV or plan out your itinerary. Downstairs on the ground floor is a twin bedroom with south facing views over the well kept garden. Both bedrooms offer beds with high quality deep mattresses and oversized duvets to add that extra touch of luxury. Also on the ground floor is a large fully equipped kitchen, spacious family bathroom with Jacuzzi bath and open plan lounge with comfy sofas and 42” TV with Netflix and Sky Freeview and dining area with table. The cottage has a fully controllable central heating system throughout making it warm and welcoming on the coldest days and a Stovax high efficiency LPG living flame glass fronted stove in the lounge, giving you all the benefits of a wood burning stove without all the hard work.

The front of the cottage has a glass sun lounge which is ideal for enjoying breakfast on a sunny day or relaxing at the end of a hard days exploring. Open views over the Loch Ard Forest towards Ben Lomond and pretty sunsets can be enjoyed here also. Alternatively, take a seat outside in the secluded south facing garden and take in the peace and tranquility that surrounds you whilst keeping an eye out for any birds and wildlife that often come to say hello.

5 star rating“Home from home inside; peaceful and picturesque outside!” Great location, just a short walk into the beautiful little village where you’ll find gift shops, supermarket, pharmacy, petrol station and more. There’s a few dog friendly pubs and restaurants serving a good selection of food. If you like walking there’s a riverside and pine forests right on the doorstep. Our dog had an amazing time! You’ll also find lots of nice places to visit just a short drive away. This was an added bonus for us as we like to get out and about but don’t want to spend half the day in the car. If you just want to spend a day chilling; then Lomond View Cottage is the perfect place to do it. It’s spotlessly clean and well equipped with absolutely everything you need for a comfortable stay. The Wi Fi is excellent and free Netflix is another bonus. My favourite was the beautiful, well kept, tranquil back garden. Sit back with a glass of wine and enjoy the wildlife show; from the Highland cows grazing in the field at the bottom of the garden, to the red squirrel and many species of birds that come to feast from the bird tables. We truly had a memorable stay and would not hesitate to return! Thank you Pauline and Stephen for your hospitality and for the lovely welcome pack.

5 star rating“Regular guests” We visit this cottage every year because it is just so perfect in every way. It is all any one could want and ask for and even more in a holiday cottage. Pauline and Steven have thought of everything when it comes to considering their guests. They now also have the cottage next door and both cottages are booked for most of the year. Then, even if you want to be more pampered they open their own home for bed and breakfast guests. The only down side of this wonderful accommodation is that because it is so popular we are finding it increasingly difficult to get booked for the following year, even booking one year in advance!!!!

5 star rating“Best Ever Rental!” My wife's insistence on the dogs sharing our breaks has often meant that we've had stays in dog friendly properties that were a bit shabby -so Lomond View was a real find - it's pristine, impeccably furnished and with a garden that allows humans and their canines to enjoy themselves.
The location is ideal for for exploring the Trossachs and relaxing after a day's walking, but with the shops and friendly pubs of Aberfoyle a short walk away.
Pauline welcomed us and left us to enjoy the many welcoming touches she had provided - and there are many of these.
Nothing beats Scotland when the weather's kind and we had a lucky week at the end of April - well before peak midge season!
I'd like to think this won't be our last stay at this gem of a cottage.
