Opening hours
The Lodge visitor centre is open most days of the year:
- November to 23 December: 10am–4pm
- 24 December: 10am–2pm
- 25 & 26 December Closed
- 27-31 December: 10am–2pm
- 1 January: Closed
- 2 January: 10am–2pm
- From 3 January to 29 February: 10am–4pm
Café
The team at the Lodge have been working hard to get our café back open after a short closure and are pleased to be able to provide a hot food offer this week on Friday 6, Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 December, and from the following week from Wednesdays to Sundays.
Homemade soup; plus bacon, egg and sausage rolls are available on these dates, and you can choose from a selection of cold drinks and snacks from our shop area (7 days a week).
Complimentary tea and coffee will also be available in our shop area.
We hope to be able to provide a full café service early in 2020.
Car parking charges
- £1 for up to 1 hour
- £3 for all day
- £12 for minibus and coach all day
Season passes are also available to purchase from the visitor centre.
Dogs
Water and sheltered tie-up points are available outside the visitor centre. No dogs (except assistance dogs) are allowed in the café area.

There are a wide range of activities and things to do in Strathard. You can walk, cycle and travel around the countryside to your heart’s content.
In the winter you can even explore the wilderness and discover the wildlife that inhabit the mountain tops. As well as enjoying your time on land, you can also get on the water and explore the beauty of Loch Ard.
